  • Llythyr gan MTCBC / MTCBC Letter - Symptomau COVID Symptoms

    Mon 17 May 2021

The following is an extract from a letter received from MTCBC regarding updated information around self-isolation:

Rydyn ni wedi derbyn y gwybodaeth yma ar gyfer ymateb i symptomau posib COVID19

"Testing is being made available for those experiencing a wider range of symptoms such as fatigue, myalgia (muscle ache or pain), a sore throat, a headache, a runny nose, vomiting or diarrhoea.

Individuals who take a test because of these wider symptoms are not required to isolate while they await their test result. This includes learners, who can continue to attend their school or setting while they await a test result

However, children with diarrhoea and/or vomiting must not attend school until they are symptom-free for 48 hours, even if their result is negative"

  • Potential traffic disruption for the next two weeks.

  • Llythyr gan MTCBC - Clybiau Brecwast

    Mon 17 May 2021

Y Diweddaraf am y Clybiau Brecwast                                      Tymor yr Haf 2021

    Annwyl Riant/Warcheidwad,

Fel y byddwch yn ymwybodol ohono, er mwyn ein helpu ni i ystyried dichonolrwydd ailagor darpariaeth Clwb Brecwast mewn ysgolion cynradd yn ddiogel yn ystod y pandemig, ymgymerom ag ymarfer mynegi diddordeb cyn y Pasg.

Diolch i bawb wnaeth gwblhau hwn. Rydym wedi adolygu’r holl atebion bellach ac ystyried cynlluniau’r gwasanaeth yn unol â chanllawiau diweddaraf Llywodraeth Cymru i ysgolion er mwyn asesu a ellir darparu’r ddarpariaeth clwb brecwast yn ddiogel gan dalu sylw at y ffactorau canlynol:-

    • cadw at ofynion pellter cymdeithasol rhwng grwpiau cyswllt o ddisgyblion
    • argaeledd / addasrwydd staff digonol i oruchwylio disgyblion wrth ddarparu’r clwb brecwast
    • sicrhau fod iechyd a diogelwch disgyblion a staff yn cael eu rheoli’n briodol oddi fewn i amgylchedd cyffredinol COVID-19 ddiogel yr ysgol

O ganlyniad i’r asesiad hwn mae’r awdurdod lleol wedi dynodi rhwystrau sy’n atal ailagor clybiau brecwast yn ddiogel ar hyn o bryd:-

    1. dim digon o staff i gynnal grwpiau cyswllt cyson yn ôl y canllawiau a darparu’r lefel ofynnol o oruchwyliaeth yn ystod y clwb brecwast
    2. aflonyddu a risg ychwanegol i ysgolion o ran gweithrediadau diogel cyfredol COVID-19 sydd wedi eu mewnblannu ac sy’n gweithio’n dda
    3. risgiau ychwanegol o ran aflonyddu dosbarthiadau ar draws yr ysgol i gyd petai achos positif o COVID-19 yn ymddangos

Gan na allwn ailagor clybiau brecwast yn ddiogel ledled y Fwrdeistref Sirol mae’r awdurdod lleol yn ystyried y byddai’n afresymol ailagor y clybiau brecwast ar yr adeg hon ac felly mae wedi penderfynu y bydd darpariaeth y clwb brecwast yn aros ar gau tan fis Medi ar y cynharaf.

Ymddiheurwn am unrhyw anghyfleustra y gallai hyn ei achosi, a gallwn eich sicrhau y byddwn yn parhau i fonitro canllawiau diweddaraf COVID-19 wrth i bellter cymdeithasol a gofynion eraill lacio fel bod Clybiau Brecwast yn ailagor yn ddiogel ledled y Fwrdeistref Sirol yn ystod Tymor yr Hydref.

Byddwn yn darparu diweddariad pellach i rieni yn ystod ail hanner Tymor yr Haf ynghylch opsiynau ailagor ym mis Medi.

Diolch am eich cefnogaeth barhaus a’ch cydweithrediad.

  • MTCBC Letter - Breakfast Clubs

    Mon 17 May 2021

Breakfast Clubs Update                      Summer Term 2021

    Dear Parent / Guardian,

As you are aware to help us consider the feasibility of re-opening Breakfast Club Provision in Primary Schools safely during the pandemic we undertook an expression of interest exercise prior to Easter.

Thank you to everyone who completed this. All responses have now been reviewed and service plans have been considered in line with Welsh Government’s latest guidance for schools to assess if breakfast club provision can be delivered safely having regard to the following factors:-

    • maintaining social distancing requirements between contact groups of pupils
    • availability / suitability of sufficient staff to supervise pupils during the breakfast provision
    • ensuring that the health and safety of pupils and staff can be managed appropriately within the overall COVID19 secure environment of the school.

As a result of this assessment the local authority has identified barriers to being able to reopen breakfast clubs safely at the current time:-

    1. insufficient staffing to maintain consistent contact groups as per the guidance and provide the required level of supervision during the breakfast club
    2. additional disruption and risk to the schools current COVID19 secure operations that are embedded and working well
    3. additional risks to disruption to classes across the whole school in the event of a COVID19 positive case

As we are not able to reopen breakfast clubs safely across the County Borough the local authority considers that it would be unreasonable to reopen the breakfast clubs at this time and has therefore decided that breakfast club provision will remain closed until September at the earliest.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and can assure you that we will continue to monitor the latest guidance on COVID19 so that as social distancing and other requirements are eased, Breakfast Clubs can be reopened safely across the County Borough during the Autumn Term.

We will provide a further update to parents during the second half of the Summer Term about options to reopen in September.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
