Croeso i dudalen dosbarth Glas y Dorlan! Mae 28 o blant yn ein dosbarth, pob un yn barod i weithio yn galed yn eu blwyddyn olaf yn Rhydygrug.
Welcome to our class page! There are 28 children in our class, all ready to work hard during their final year at Rhydygrug.
Dydd Gwener ydy ein diwrnod Addysg Gorfforol a bydd angen gwisg addas ar gyfer Athletau: siorts, crys-t a trainyrs. Bydd gweithgareddau awyr agored arall yn digwydd yn achlysurol trwy gydol y tymor lle na fydd angen gwisg.
Friday is our P.E. day and all puplis will need a suitable kit for Athletics: shorts, t-shirt and trainers. Many outdoor activities will be taking place throughout the term but no kit will be needed here.
Fel arfer, bydd gwaith cartref yn cael ei osod ar ddydd Gwener i’w ddychwelyd erbyn y Dydd Mawrth canlynol. Disgwylir i bob plentyn ddarllen llyfrau Saesneg a Chymraeg yn gyson adref (dewis rhydd ar gyfer MWYNHAD – mae digonedd o lyfrau ar gael yn y dosbarth neu lyfr o’r tŷ). Ar ben hyn mae gen bob disgybl set o dablau Mathemateg a geiriau sillafu Cymraeg a Saesneg (yn briodol ar gyfer eu lefel personol) yn eu ffowlderi ‘Cyswllt Cartref’.
Homework is usually set on Fridays to be returned the following Tuesday. All children are expected to read both English and Welsh reading books regularly at home (free choice for ENJOYMENT - there are plenty of books to choose from in class or a book from home). All children also have a set of times tables and spelling words, which are appropriate for the level at which they are working, in their 'Cyswllt Cartref' folders.
Thema Tymor yr Haf ydy 'Iechyd Da'. Byddwn yn dysgu am hanes Oes y Celtiaid a Rhufeiniaid, ffiniau naturiol a gwleidyddol a sgiliau mapio. Yn ein gwersi Gywddoniaeth byddwn yn ymchwilio i bethau byw; planhigion, y corff dynol, a fertebratau ac anfertebratau. Ar gyfer gwaith iaith byddwn yn ffocysu ar ysgrifennu ffeithiol ar gyfer ein gwaith Saesneg (Welsh Heroes) ac ysgrifennu stori ar gyfer ein gwaith Cymraeg (Y Pibydd Brith). Ar ben hyn oll, byddwn yn gwneud gwaith Celf fel y Rhufeiniaid, Dylunio a Thechnoleg bwyd, Cerddoriaeth Samba a llawer mwy! Byddwch yn barod dymor prysur arall!
Our theme this term is 'Good Health'. We will be learning about the history of the Celts and Romans. In Geography we will study natural and political borders alongside tasks which will improve our mapping skills. We will also use the Roman period to inspire our artwork. We will be focusing on living thing in our Science lessons; the human body, plants, vertebrates and invertebrates. We will carry out many investigations in the process. For our language work this term we will focus on story writing in Welsh and on factual writing in English, using 'Welsh Heroes' as inspiration. On top of all this we will be doing athletics, tennis, rounders and weekly musical samba lessons. Get ready for another busy term!
