Ein dosbarth

Croeso i'r Adran Iau. Rydyn ni'n siwr y bydd eich plentyn yn hapus ac yn ffynnu ym mhob ffordd eto eleni. Yn nosbarth Telor-y-Cnau mae yna 20 o ddisgyblion Blwyddyn 3. Rydyn ni fel dosbarth yn gweithio’n galed ar amrywiaeth o dasgiau. Yr athrawon  yn ein dosbarth yw Mrs Davies, Mrs Tricker, Mrs Arthur a Mrs Joll. Mae Mrs Davies yn dysgu ar Ddydd Llun, Dydd Mawrth a bore Dydd Mercher, Mrs Joll ar bnawn Dydd Mercher a Mrs Tricker ar Ddydd Iau a Dydd Gwener. Fe fydd Mrs Arthur yn cynorthwyo trwy'r wythnos.

Ar ol cofrestri pob bore fe fydd y plant yn cael sessiwn Tric a Chlic. Wedyn fe fydd sessiwn iaith yn digwydd. Mae gwaith adeiladu yn digwydd o Ddydd Llun tan Ddydd Mercher ac fe fydd gwaith awdur yn cael ei chyflawni ar Ddydd Iau a Dydd Gwener. Fe fyddwn yn astudio Chwedl Gelert yn ein gwersi Cymraeg ac yn cyflwyno Saesneg trwy Read, Write, Inc. dros yr wythnosau nesaf. Fe fyddwn yn dysgu am natur a thirwedd Cymru yn Naearyddiaeth ac am yr 80au a'r 90au yn Hanes. Yng Ngwyddoniaeth byddwn yn dysgu am sut mae pethau yn gweithio. 

Gwaith Cartref

Fe arfer fe fydd gwaith cartref yn cael ei osod yn wythnosol ar brynhawn Ddydd Gwener. Mae disgwyl i’r plant gwblhau'r dasg cartref a’i ddychwelyd yn ôl i’r ysgol erbyn bore Dydd Mawrth.

Hefyd, mae disgwyl i bob plentyn ddarllen am o leiaf 10 munud bob nos. Ni allwn bwysleisio ddigon y pwysigrwydd o ddarllen gyda’ch plentyn bob nos! Gallwch sicrhau bod eu llyfrau yn dod i'r ysgol bob Dydd Gwener ac yn mynd nol adre gyda'r plant ar Ddydd Llun tan y Dydd Gwener er mwyn sicrhau bod 72 awr rhwng cyfnewid llyfrau a plant eraill. Hefyd, mae’n bwysig iawn i ymarfer tablau gyda’ch plentyn yn gyson a byddwn yn profi'r plant ar rhain o bryd i'w gilydd.

Addysg Gorfforol

Fe fydd gwersi Addysg Gorfforol yn digwydd bob pnawn Dydd Mercher. Y tymor yma, fe fydd y gwersi yn cymryd lle tu fas os bydd y tywydd yn canaiatau neu yn y neuadd os bydd y tywydd yn wael ac fe fyddwn yn 'neud ffitrwydd a gemau. Fe fydd angen gwisg addas ar gyfer y sesiynau ac fe fydd angen io'r plant dod i'r ysgol wedi gwisgo yn eu dillad ymarfer corff.

I would like to take this opportunity to explain some of the arrangements for this term and to outline the work we will be completing.

Our Class

Welcome to The Junior Department. We are sure that your child will be happy at school and will continue to thrive in all aspects of their education.There are 20 Year 3 pupils in Telor-y-Cnau . We expect the children to work conscientiously and to be respectful of others in all that they do. The teachers in our class are Mrs Davies/ Mrs Tricker, Mrs Joll and Mrs Arthur. Mrs Davies works in the class on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday mornings and Mrs Tricker works on Thursday and Fridays. Mrs Arthur will be assisting all week.

After morning registration the children will have a Tric a Chlic session. A language session will then take place,. Building work takes place Monday to Wednesday and Author work will be carried out on Thursdays and Fridays. This term we will study the Legend of Gelert as our Welsh language theme and we will introduce English through Read, Write, Inc.. We'll learn about the nature and landscape of Wales in Geography and about the 80's in History. In Science we will learn about how things work.

Homework

Usually homework will be set weekly on a Friday afternoon. Homework is to be returned to school by Tuesday morning, please.

Pupils are also expected to read fot at least 10 minutes every night. We cannot emphasise enough the importance of reading with your child on a daily basis. Please ensure that their reading files are brought into school every Friday and will be changed and returned to practice at home.Please keep practising tables at home and we will be testing them from time to time.

Physical Education

Physical Education lessons will take place on Wednesday afternoons each week. This term the sessions will be outside weather permitting or alternatively inside, where we will be doing fitness and games. Please ensure that pupils have a suitable kit for these sessions and due to the current situation will need to come to school in their kit each Wednesday
