Hwyl fawr-staff yn gadael / Good luck to the staff leaving us today.

Miss Sheppard.

We would like to extend our best wishes and heartfelt thanks to Miss Sheppard for her future career as she is leaving at the end of the year. Miss Sheppard has been covering the maternity leave of firstly Miss Clement, and then latterly , Miss Worton, and has become an integral part of the team at Rhyd-y-Grug. Miss Sheppard will be missed by all the members of the school community.

Miss Worton

Since commencing her role as Deputy Headteacher in 2014 , Miss Worton has been an invaluable member of the school community. She is such an empathetic colleague and is always willing to listen and offer advice to her peers.

The children always respect her approach to teaching and the work that her classes produced over the years are a testament to her professionalism and dedication to the role.

Miss Worton has been a fantastic teacher , a lifelong learner, and will always be welcome back here at any time in the future.

However , now is the best time to enjoy the joys of being a new mother , and being there for her family - we will miss her very much indeed.Ysgol Rhyd-y Grug will be losing a true friend , colleague and mentor to both children and staff alike.

Mrs Evans

Mrs Evans started in Ysgol Rhyd-y Grug in February of 1993.

During the subsequent 28 and a half years , Mrs Evans has influenced the young lives of so many pupils , many of whom are now parents at the school themselves.

Mrs Evans will be missed for many reasons , especially her caring and supportive nature to children in her class and beyond. She has been able to nurture the development of children who needed reassurance, and improve the outcomes for those children who needed an extra challenge to thrive.

Mrs Evans has also shaped the career of many of her colleagues through encouragement and setting up support networks which have helped many staff to fulfil their potential at the school.

Parents will miss her support of their children , always striving to do her best for them at all times and in all circumstances - but beware if you don’t return the reading folder!

Children will miss Mrs Evans because they are losing a truly inspiring teacher who is always available to work through any issues that arise at school.

We as her colleagues will miss Mrs Evans because of her professionalism , her willingness to support the staff around her , and the fact that Mrs Evans has always been a good friend to us all.

Mrs Evans is leaving us to spend more time with her family and wonderful granddaughters , there is absolutely no better reason to leave!

Best of luck Mrs Evans , you have given us memories to last a lifetime , and a friendship which will definitely endure beyond your retirement from the school.
